Phobio is proud to have been selected by Costco Wholesale to power its online trade-in program!

Through the partnership, Costco members can benefit from Phobio’s simple and transparent device trade-in service and will receive a Costco Cash Card for in-store or online product purchase redemption. Currently, Apple’s iMac and MacBook products are eligible for trade-in through Costco’s online program. We plan to expand the product roster supported for trade-ins in the near future.

How Does it Work?

Costco members can begin trading in their Apple devices today through www.costco.com. When a member initiates a trade-in online, they’ll receive our secure packaging via mail which can be used to send in their Apple device for evaluation. Upon completion, they will be notified of the product’s trade-in value and their Cash Card will be mailed to them directly.

The new compression frame corrugated cardboard box, specifically designed for laptops, eliminates the need for traditional foam inserts and is 100 percent recyclable. Our eco-friendly packaging will soon be available for shipping other device trade-ins such as smartphones, tablets, and wearables.

To protect the privacy of our trade-in customers, we always perform secure data erasure from every device we receive. If any media or data cannot be erased, we will recycle the device instead of reselling it.
