To say that 2020 has been a tough year is the understatement of the century. Between a global pandemic, social unrest, a divisive election and countless other obstacles, the past few months have been difficult.
Despite these challenges, we at Phobio remain optimistic about the future and thankful for the bright spots 2020 presented. With Thanksgiving just a few days away, this is the perfect time to count our blessings. Here are four things we’re thankful for in 2020:
#1: Technology That Keeps Us Connected
Without modern-day mobile technology, this pandemic would be a much sadder story. When COVID-19 hit the U.S. in March, businesses across the U.S. were forced to shutter their offices and send employees to work from home. Thankfully, the vast majority of these employees had access to laptops, smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices to keep them working and productive.
Perhaps even more importantly, technology has allowed us to stay socially connected with friends and relatives even when we must be physically separated. Thanks to Zoom, FaceTime, social media, online dating and other mobile apps, Americans have been able to combat loneliness and connect with others during these unprecedented times.
#2: Ten Years in Business…and Counting
We celebrated our 10th anniversary this year! When CEO Stephen Wakeling founded the company with a group of friends in 2010, they sought to create an honest way for businesses to maximize profitability while offering a better trade-in experience for their customers.
Since day one, we’ve been obsessed with simplifying the complicated and delighting customers. That philosophy has allowed us to grow year after year. In fact, we’ve seen a record number of trade-ins in 2020. Of course, none of this would be possible without our excellent portfolio of clients, which brings us to our next point…
#3: Our Awesome Clients
Here at Phobio, we’re lucky to serve a wide range of customers—from corporations looking for bulk buyback solutions to product manufacturers to retail and online stores. Our goal is to offer easy-to-implement solutions for each of them. We are incredibly grateful to have amazingly loyal clients who continue to value our simple trade-in solutions and exceptional customer service.
#4: A Top-Notch Team
We are incredibly fortunate to work with a brilliant group of passionate risk-takers and creative visionaries. (Around here, we like to call them Phobiosapiens.) This talented team specializes in creating amazing experiences—and we are grateful for their hard work and dedication. Thanks to these phenomenal Phobiosapiens, our company continues to grow and flourish.
While we have much to be thankful for in 2020, we are most grateful that a new year is just around the corner. Here’s to 2021! Although we can’t predict what’s in store for the coming year, one thing is certain: We will continue to provide the best trade-in experience in the industry.
